James (Jim) Goodin - Partner headshotOne of our founding partners, Jim Goodin, retired in 2016. He is a native of Indianapolis, is a 1968 graduate of Marquette University and Cathedral High School alum. He obtained his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law–Indianapolis in 1973. Jim successfully represented individual and corporate clients for over 40 years. He litigated a wide variety of cases in state and federal courts in Indiana and other jurisdictions. Jim focused on the mediation and arbitration of all types of disputes, but his practice included representing individuals who had been injured. “Law is something that has always intrigued me,” Jim says. “My background in athletics has led me to be very competitive and as a result, I’m incredibly passionate about representing individuals whose lives have been changed due to injury or death.” As a result of his legal accomplishments, Jim has been awarded a rating of ‘AV,’ the highest rating possible by his peers. This rating signifies that an attorney has reached the pinnacle of professional excellence in both legal skills and integrity. He was awarded the “Super Lawyer” distinction by his peers for more than ten years.
