Chip Clark was born in Indianapolis, where he attended Lawrence Township schools before moving to Ontario, Canada with his family. Upon graduating from high school in Ontario, Chip attended the University of Arizona where her earned his bachelor’s in political science. The Hoosier state called his name again when he returned to attend Indiana University School of Law and, later, the Hamilton County Leadership Academy.
Chip has practiced law for 15 years, focusing on insurance defense litigation. For many years Chip worked alongside insurance companies, defending them and their customers against claims. It’s this experience that has allowed him to become such a successful personal injury attorney. Being able to recognize and exploit the strengths and weaknesses on both sides of the case gives Chip an advantage at the settlement table and in the courtroom.
Personal injury and wrongful death litigation holds a special place in Chip’s heart. In 2007, he experienced a family tragedy that placed him in a similar position to the many clients he has helped. Chip successfully challenged an intentional act exclusion in the Defendant’s insurance policy and negotiated a settlement on behalf of his bereaved family members.
“The world can be very complicated, and sometimes people need a helping hand to get them through a difficult situation,” Chip says. “Being injured, losing a loved one or being wronged can be devastating physically, emotionally and financially. I enjoy being able to help people work through the process and get their lives back on track.”
Chip is a member of the Indiana and Indianapolis Bar Associations and has shared his wealth of knowledge as a lecturer for the National Business Institute and the Institute of Paralegal Education in the areas of discovery and trial tactics. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Elizabeth Anne Seton parish, and was a former board member for Meals on Wheels of Hamilton Country, serving as president from 2007-2008. When he’s not practicing law, Chip can be found running, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, playing hockey or volunteering for the Cub Scouts. He and his wife reside in Carmel, Indiana with their two daughters and one son.
